Yesterday for Wordless Wednesday, I posted a picture I took while watching the University of Florida vs Florida State football game on November 28th. What a view we had. Watching the game while the sun was setting into the ocean. GO GATORS.

A little history about the Key Lime House Restaurant is the oldest in Lantana, Florida. This restaurant is famous for a delicious Key Lime Pie. Oh so worth the calories. In 2005 the restaurant took a direct it from Hurricane Wilma. The main dining room was destroyed and major renovations were required, including replacing the original roof. Chief Jim Billie of the Seminole Indian Tribe was brought in, and thanks to his brilliant expertise, The Old Key Lime House Restaurant now features the largest freestanding chickee hut in the State of Florida.

I love my life.

My job as a Flight Attendant has been taking me to London quite a bit these past few month. We stay in a hotel that is walking distance from Kensington Gardens , Hyde Park, two of the Royal Parks in London as well as the Natural History Museum and Harrods Luxury department store.

After being trapped in a metal tube for several hours, the last thing I want to do is be a building on a beautiful. I take a towel form the room, stop by the grocery store next door for some food and head to the park for a picnic.

In this fast paced world we live in, I find it necessary to slow down and enjoy nature. I find that those 30 minutes to and hour of allowing myself to experience the beauty of life, gives me a new level of thinking and drive toward my goals. Refreshing.

My post yesterday for Wordless Wednesday was a picture of the world. This is a picture of a new poster we having hanging at the foot of our bed. We have added a light shinning directly on it from under neath. Duncan and I love laying in the bed, looking at the photo discussing the world of possibilities we have available to us.

We did not always feel that way about our lives. Together we are growing in our belief in ourselves and challenging our assumptions about what we can accomplish in life. We are doing this with the help of “The Tribe”.

The Universe

I have been receiving my Notes from the Universe for over a year now. I really, really enjoy these message. Each one allows me to pause and take mental inventory of where my head might be at that moment in time. Am I coming from a place of prosperity. Feeling full of  desire, faith, love, enthusiasm, romance, hope about my day or future. OR am I in a place of lack. Feeling one of the six ghosts of fear that Napolean Hill speaks of in his book Think and Grow Rich. Fear of poverty, Fear of  criticism, Fear of ill health, Fear of loss of love, fear of old age or fear of death. I have learned from my studies of this book with my tribe that fear, indecision and doubt are dangerous enemies.

The picture I posted yesterday for Wordless Wednesday is me on my first ever Parasailing experience while I was on a cruise. Being the outgoing personality that I am, my motto is FUN, FUN AND MORE FUN; however I must admit that when I was waiting my turn, I did experience a few of the fears Hill speaks about. Like fear of death! However after a couple of people went up and came back down without even touching the water or getting wet, I was able to let go of my fears. I am so glad I did. Being up their was an amazing experience.  It was like life was in slow motion. You could feel the cool breeze, you where floating freely in the air, and you could see for miles and miles. It was a breath taking experience. One I intend to repeat in the very near future.

The Notes from the Universe, Mike Dooley’s book Infinite Possibilities, my studies of Think and Grow Rich and the support from my Tribe have allowed me to challenge my own personal assumptions and belief about what I can accomplish in life. This learning process has helped me to come to realize that when I am making excuses I am allowing a belief to hold me back from my dreams, desires, funny moments, delicious moments and beautiful moments of life.

Your power lies is taking action. I encourage you to empower yourself and take action on something you have read here today so that you do not miss out on any of the moments in your life.

Before he began his quest he had these thoughts:

“I was like, ‘How much money do I need for a trip like this?’ Before I started I didn’t think I could rely on the hospitality of American people. I thought I was gonna need $100,000.”

Now I understand that his dream is to write a book and make a documentary. This is what is I call DARING TO DREAM.

The picture I posted yesterday for Wordless Wednesday was taken last July at a fireworks event. Everybody knows that July 4th is the day we here in the United States celebrate our freedom. Another example of daring to dream.

Instant Friends

Anyone can turn a total stranger into a lifetime friend in just 5 minutes. Most people focus on themselves when they talk to someone. Everybody knows we all just want to be listened to and understood. I have learned an easy way to do just that. It’s a real skill that anyone can learn.

I have learned a system color system to help explain personalities.  Most people realize when we understand the people in our lives we are better able to listen. Everyone has basic personality traits that dictate who we are and affect how we relate to each other.  Yes, there are many factors that influence these interactions.  Things such as our family of origin and the cultural patterns we grew up with. Circumstances will dictate our attitudes and personality traits to change as necessary for survival.

The system I learned is really easy for me to understand. The system divides everyone into one of four colors; yellow, green, blue and red.  Most people are a rainbow of these four colors. Sometimes we even emphasis a specific color based on the situation. However, one color is always our dominant color. This is the color that represents our true personality and the traits and mannerisms that define us.

Here is a quick break down of each personality color’s motto:

Red – Get out of my Way

Blue – Fun, fun and oh yeah more fun

Green – Let’s have the facts and figures

Yellow – Let’s be friends

Learning to use the Color to Success System has been a wonderful breakthrough for me!  With this training and, using this simple system, I have found new understanding about myself and my family.  I can now accept myself and each family member for who they are, just the way they are.

The picture I used for my Wordless Wednesday post is a picture I took in the Natural History Museum in New York City in one of the display cases. My husband and I went there at the end of August this year. I realized how far I had come with using what I have learned in my life when I put the pictures from this year into my iPhoto Event Folder of New York City.

Almost one year ago (September 2008) my outgoing step-daughter and I went to the most of the same place in New York City that my introverted husband and I did. I had just as much fun with my husband letting him be him as I did with my step-daughter who is way more like me. Loves to have fun and extremely outgoing.

Everybody says a picture is worth a thousand words. I uploaded some of the pictures in a couple of Picasa Albums (step-daughter and husband) so that you can see for yourself. Very different photos, yet just as much Fun for me because I understood each person for who they are and went with the flow of the day.

It made me think of the Wright Brothers.

Napoleon Hill states in his book Think and Grow Rich that lack of persistence is one of the major causes of failure.

Although not the first to build and fly experimental aircraft, the Wright brothers were the first to invent aircraft controls that made fixed-wing flight possible in 1905.

Just think of how different our lives would be if the Wright Brothers had not been persistent in their dream of flying like the birds. Would we be able to travel over 3500 miles in less than 8 hours?

When I actually started my Network Marketing business, it wasn’t as easy to make a profit as I thought it would be. My upline taught me to talk to friends and family. I was told, “Just get them to our meeting or invite them for coffee to discuss an opportunity, share the “flip” presentation book and they’ll sign up.” It didn’t work that way. I’d get them to the meeting or Starbucks and they’d leave before the presentation was over.

I was struggling to build my Network Marketing Business. My self-esteem took a real beating. I felt totally guilty about all the money I was spending and struggled to get out of bed every day. I felt like a big failure and had pretty much given up on ever achieving any of my dreams.

My persistence in seeking answers, even though I was feeling just on the edge of giving up, lead me to seeking help on the internet.In the nick of time Mentoring for Free came into our lives.

I have had many personal struggles to overcome; however the support and training I found with Mentoring for Free has totally changed the direction of my Network Marketing business. I’ve learned to mentor others, listen to their dreams and believe in them until they can believe in themselves.

Hill also states that without persistence you will be defeated, even before you start.  With persistence you will win. Fortunately persistence is a state of mind, therefore it can be cultivated.
