Do you ever wonder why you don’t take action on the new skills you have memorized and learned for building your network marketing business?

The hubby and I have been planning this trip for several months now. Normally we fly everywhere we go; however life circumstances forced us to travel by road this time. Because this trip is very important to us The Hubby did a little prep work for our new adventure. You see The Hubby’s personality is one that likes to solve problems. He is extremely organized, accurate and punctual. He likes to achieve his goals by following a step by step process. So for this road trip, we have printed directions from map quest. The Hubby double checked the map quest directions on a visually road map to make sure they were accurate. We also have the route entered into the Motion X app for the iPhone. The Hubby needs to be so accurate and precise, he even did the stimulation process on the Motion X app just to make sure it was accurate.

In order for us to be at the Lake in Texas in time for the traditional Scott family sunset cruise on day one of the reunion, we need to leave our home in KY by 4:00 AM. Mr. organized, accurate and punctual had the car packed at ready to go precisely on time.  He is so excited and ready for this adventure that he does not sleep much. Knowing that I was going to have the first “crew rest” for the road trip, I was perfectly content to leave at 4AM and finish my sleep in the car.

The need for sleep took over The Hubby about an hour outside of TN, so I took over the driving.  Now remember, I have written directions and a talking navigational system to help me with this drive. I am driving along perfectly content until we begin to come up to the area where we are going to transition from the State of Kentucky to the State of Tennessee. Now this particular change of highways was not just a matter of merging onto another highway. This involved making a left merge off the expressway, then a right merge back onto another expressway and then finally a right merge onto to the highway we would remain on for over 150 miles. I am having to change highways during rush hour in Nashville.

I’ve been driving for over 20 years, so I know how do to this. Yet I am discovering a feeling inside myself of nervousness. You know like little butterflies fluttering inside the pit of my stomach. Each time “the navigator” advises me to prepare to merge onto a different road, this butterfly feeling takes place in the pit of my stomach. Now, I don’t really understanding this. Because logically I know I have a map, I am in a country where they speak my language, I’m not really going to be lost, I have a “person” telling exactly what to do and when to do it. Yet, I am nervous and hesitant.

Then is when it hits me. Change is possible, but not always easy. Each time I took action, followed the voice of the navigator and made my way onto the correct highway my confidence grew and the nervousness faded.

So even though the skills you are learning to build your network marketing business are easy, simple ones, they are new to you and it requires discipline to feel the butterflies and take the action anyway.

I have one guarantee about our business. If you don’t try anything, you are guaranteed that nothing will change. The commute time to your job won’t change. The limited time you have with your family won’t change. Your current paycheck won’t change.
