Yesterday for Wordless Wednesday I posted a picture of the rice terraces and mountain villages of Yuanyang, a town in
China’s southwestern Provence, in the early morning mist. I came across this picture in a magazine. When I saw it the photograph reminded me of the morning calm, you know when the house is quite, everyone is still sleeping and you are sitting sipping coffee lost in your thoughts.
I was so taken by the picture that I took out my iPhone and captured it to use as a stress reduction tool. One of the best ways I know to help reduce my stress is to relax my mind by focusing on something else. This picture is so calming that when I look at it I am taken to my early morning ritual of sitting, sipping coffee, savoring the flavor and the morning calm. The photo provides me with a natural stress relief.
One of the other ways that helps me manage my stress is listen to meditation tapes/CDs. I have put most of my CDs onto my iPhone, so I can listen to them while I focus on this picture to relax thereby relieving stress.
Your power lies in taking action. I encourage you to empower yourself by taking action on something you read here today that inspired you.
