Building from the Outside IN

Stand out in the crowdThere is a unique concept. So I want to lay the foundation for this. In any area of life there are going to be two groups of people that are successful.

The first group are those that are successful right away. A dream or desire is sparked, the fire is light, success starts to happen right away and they never look back.

The second group are those that did not have success right way. Several months went by, maybe even a few years, with no success. For whatever reason these people never gave up. They are able to get a hold of the right books, meet the right people, attend seminars and slowly over time they began to learn the disciplines to create success.

In between the two groups are those that give up and quit. They do not manage to hang in there long enough to create success. The key is to not fall into the group that ends up quitting.

For most people it is not easy to stay out of the group that ends up quitting. Everybody knows that the things that are easy to do are just as easy not to do.  I know this from first hand personal experience.

I personally am a member of group two. It took me some time to develop the discipline to take small action steps that would lead me to success.  Fortunately, I found a “tribe” that taught me the right skills to put into daily action. As I applied the skills, I began to see small daily successes, my confidence began to build on the inside. It took doing the right outside work to change what I thought on the inside.

Thus the concept of building from the outside in. If you build up the habit of taking daily action steps that take you toward your goals, then your outside actions begin to help you change the story that is going on inside your head. My life turned around when I began to
 believe in me.

There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge~Napoleon Hill

Seth Godin in his book, Tribes, says a tribe is any group of people, large or small, who are connected one to one another, a leader and an idea. A group only needs two things to be a tribe – a shared interest and a way to communicate.

Most people that are in between group one and group two who find a “tribe” to help coach them along the way do not end up quitting.

I believe in you. You power lies in taking action. I encourage you to take one thing that you read here today and take action.
